Inventory Control Specialist


This exciting role will ensure efficient and accurate inventory management throughout the organization. This person will lead a team and oversee all inventory control processes, ensure compliance with company guidelines, and make valuable suggestions for process improvement. The company is headquartered in the Burlington, WA area. It is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV Modules for the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team works towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and make suggestions for improvement to the management
  • Train staff in all inventory control processes according to manual and update processes as required
  • Monitor all procurement requests of facilities, ensure accuracy in all inbound inventory, and maintain records
  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock
  • Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, (for shortages as well as overages)
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
  • Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders
  • Collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities and process orders for shipment
  • Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Track rates of accuracy, purchase, return, and defective items to inform quality control decisions
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports and review reports monthly with management
  • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed
  • Work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals
  • Process inventory movements
  • Maintain BOM inventory consumption


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift knowledge and experience
  • Proven experience in inventory management
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience working within a warehousing industry is preferred
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Flexibility in work hours/schedule
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP) is preferred


Salary Range:

  • $21-25/hr depending on experience.
