WSDOT is currently seeking a reliable individual to fill a Maintenance Specialist 2 vacancy in Union Gap, WA. Located in the South Central Region, the WSDOT Sign Shop is the sole sign fabrication and distribution organization for the entire agency. In this role, you will assist with receiving shipments, accurately counting and tracking materials, organizing inventory, and preparing outgoing orders in a way that minimizes palletization and reduces shipping costs. As a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility, the Sign Shop plays a critical role in producing high-quality signage for WSDOT Engineering, Regional Maintenance Operations, Aviation, and Ferry Services. This position also supports sign design and fabrication efforts, helping ensure products are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal standards that keep Washington's transportation system safe and functional.
